7,400 Kildare homes are liable for the levy for the first time this year.
Kildare's 80,000 householders have under a month left in which to inform Revenue of the Local Property Tax valuation of their homes.
Changes announced by Government in May mean that 7,400 homes in the county, built since 2013, will be brought in to the tax net for the first time.
While householders who were already liable for the tax must revalue their home, before November 7th.
Sharp increases in home prices mean many homeowners fear a big bill.
Karen Byrne is of Revenue's Local Property Tax branch.
Speaking to Kildare Today, she says she doesn't expect the majority of property owners to see a significant increase in the LPT bill, for two reasons.
