Domestic Abuse Reports Hit 50-Year High: Physical Abuse Up 22%, Sexual Abuse Up 30%

Last year, the charity received over 32 thousand contacts - the highest number in its 50 year history.

One in three women are physically, psychologically or sexually abused by their partner - according to Women's Aid.

Physical abuse increased by 22 per cent, sexual abuse is up by 30 per cent, while emotional and economic abuse are up 15 and 5 per cent, respectively.
