Vehicle detected at 181km/h in a 100km/h zone
A vehicle has been recorded travelling almost twice the legal speed limit in Kildare.
The driver was one of 353 found speeding on Irish roads by the GoSafe vans in the past 36 hours.
The motorist was clocked at 181km/h in a 100km/h zone in Kildare.
Another vehicles was found speeding at 154km/k in a 120km/h zone in Galway
And another was doing 120km/h in a 80km/h zone in Donegal.
The Road Safety Authority has issued a call for driver’s to slow down this bank holiday weekend.
There have been 38 pedestrians killed on the roads so far this year.
Spokesperson Sam Waide says children are at particular risk around Halloween.
