The funding has been announced by the National Transport Authority
€10 million has been allocated for Active Travel Schemes for Kildare in 2025 by the National Transport Authority (NTA).
Minister of State at the Department of Transport and Kildare North TD James Lawless welcomed the news saying “The primary function of the Active Travel Scheme projects is to make it safer and easier for people to cycle or walk within their local town or village”.
