The funding is part of a €16.5 million national allocation supporting 63 projects across Ireland, including walking trails, mountain access routes, and outdoor water-based amenities.
Ballymore Eustace has been awarded €102,600 in funding through the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme for repairs to the Liffey Linear Golden Falls Loop Walk.
Kildare South Fine Gael TD and Minister for Agriculture, Martin Heydon, said the project has been a collaborative effort with Cllr Evie Sammon (FG).
He paid tribute to the Ballymore Eustace Community Development Association for its role in developing and maintaining the trail.
