Uisce Éireann says the upgrade will ensure the infrastructure can meet the needs of a growing community
Uisce Éireann has completed a €2 million upgrade of the wastewater infrastructure in Loughbollard, which will support the potential delivery of 560 new homes in the wider Clane area.
Works commenced in August 2025, with works done to upgrade the existing wastewater pumping station.
Uisce Éireann says the upgrade will ensure the infrastructure can meet the needs of a growing community.
Speaking on the project, Uisce Éireann’s Padraic Fitzgerald said: “We are delighted to have delivered these works for the community in Clane. These works have increased the capacity of the wastewater infrastructure, facilitating social and economic growth, including planned residential development".
