€640,000 worth of cannabis was seized in an operation in Co Kildare on Tuesday.
The Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and Revenue Customs Service seized 32kg of suspected herbal cannabis following the intervention of two vehicles in Kildare.
Three men, aged in their 30s and 40s, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of drug trafficking and are currently being detained at garda stations in the Kildare area.
A search of a business premises in the area of Ballymore Eustace, a small town in Kildare on the border with Co Wicklow, was carried out during the operation, which uncovered a “fully operational cocaine production laboratory”.
