Gardai are investigating after a child, understood to be eight years old, was hit by a car in the Clane Road area of Celbridge yesterday.
A member of the child's family has alleged that the driver did not remain at the scene.

In a statement to Kfm, Gardai said "investigations are ongoing" and confirmed that the incident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian occurred in the Clane Road area of Celbridge yesterday (Wednesday) at approximately 3:30 pm.
