Waterways Ireland is to conduct emergency repairs on four Kildare bridges.
3, Devonshire Bridge in Sherlockstown, Henry Bridge Tipperstown and Landestown Bridge span the Grand Canal.
Two structures are on the Royal Canal, Cope Bridge near Leixlip and Packenham Bridge, just over the border in Dublin.
WI has tendered the contract for repairs of repair of parapets, piers and abutments on all five structures.
The deadline for responses is October 29th.
