The road is closed and diversions are in place.
The collision involved a car and a bicycle.
A male cyclist (aged in his 60’s) was pronounced deceased at the scene. His body has been removed to Naas General Hospital, where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
No other injuries were reported at the time.
The road is currently closed for examination by Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
Any road users or pedestrians who may have camera footage (including dash-cam), and who were travelling in the area of Knocknagee today, Sunday 31st March 2024, between 10.30am and 11.30am, are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
