Tool theft is on the rise.
According to the Irish Independent, a notorious duo from Ballymun, north Dublin, are facing investigation for a spate of incidents.
They have been targeting counties Kildare, Meath, Dublin, and Westmeath.
It's understood that thieves attacked a man in Enfield after he tried to stop them stealing his tools.
In Carbury, criminals made off with €7,000 worth of tools.
There have been thefts totaling €12,000 in Ashbourne, following a separate €1,600 heist in Dunboyne.
Daytime thefts are becoming more and more prevalent, with An Garda Síochána analysing CCTV footage.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, KFM recently reported how tools estimated to be around €3,000 were stolen in the Glen Easton View estate in Leixlip earlier this month.
In that case, a local went out to find that tools from their van had been taken.
