Eighty-three young individuals from Kildare, Wicklow, Meath, and Louth are set to embark on a European adventure, courtesy of free travel passes awarded under the DiscoverEU programme.
The successful recipients, all eighteen years old, will have the opportunity to explore the diverse cultures of the European Union from March 2024 to May of the following year.
They will travel mainly by rail between March 2024 and May 2025.
The next round of DiscoverEU applications will open in April 2024.
To be eligible, young people must be EU citizens or legal residents of the EU.
