The development is proposed on a site in Leixlip.
An extension of the lifetime of planning permission for a solar farm in Kildare is being sought.
Solas Éireann already has leave to install 30,100 photovoltaic panels on ground mounted frames on a 12 hectare site in Confey, Leixlip.
That permission is close to withering, and it has asked Kildare County Council to extend it.
A decision is due on December 6th.
