Firework Attack Leaves House Damaged In Athy, Gardai Seek Witnesses

The front door of the house was damaged as well as some interior damage.

Firework damage caused extensive destruction to a property in Athy.

The incident occurred in the Ballyroe area of Athy at approximately 1:30 am on Friday April 6th.

Gardai found a firework discarded in the driveway of the house and are certain that it was an accelerant that was sprayed on the front door prior to the firework being set off.

Gardai are seeking the public’s help with any information regarding the incident .

They have reminded people of the severity of fireworks and the catastrophic injuries they can cause.

Gardai are urging people who may have seen anything suspicious to contact Gardai in Athy on 059 8634210.
