Five Men Arrested In Connection With A Fatal Assault In Monasterevin

The five men, all aged in their 20s are being held at multiple Garda stations throughout Kildare.

Five men have been arrested as part of an investigation into a fatal assault in Monasterevin last month.

The five men, all aged in their 20s are being held at Kildare, Naas & Newbridge Garda stations.

On 21st August, Dylan McCarthy was killed following a night out in the town.

The 29 year-old was found unresponsive at the scene, and taken to Tallaght University Hospital.

He passed away the following afternoon, 22nd August.

His father, who was with him at the time, was taken to hospital and treated for head injuries.
