The assault happened in January 2021
Five men are due to appear in court this morning charged in connection with a fatal assault on Edenderry man Mark Loughlin, which occurred in the Allenwood area in 2021.
All five are due to appear before Naas District Court this morning, Wednesday, at 10.30am.
Gardaí were called to the Allenwood South area of Kildare in the early hours of the 3rd of January 2021.
There had been reports of a public order incident or an assault.
Gardaí found a man lying unconscious on the road receiving CPR.
He was rushed to Naas General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
He was named as 29 year old Mark Loughlin.
Today, Gardaí have charged five men in relation to the incident, they're due before Naas District Court.
