KCC says there is not sufficient width along the road to facilitate a path
Kildare County Council has stated that a footpath won't be installed on the Boreen Road in Straffan.
The reasoning given at the recent Clane-Maynooth MD meeting is that there isn't "sufficient width available along this public road to install a
footpath."
Furthermore, the Council says land would need to be purchased in order to provide a footpath and "there is no funding available in the current budget for this request."
Labour Cllr. Angela Feeney had brought forward a motion to the meeting, calling for a path to be installed.
