The Oireachtas Foreign Affairs Committee, on which sits Kildare North Fianna Fáil TD, James Lawless, convenes today to "resume discussions on forced displacements and demolitions in the occupied Palestinian territory"

Representatives from the West Bank Protection Consortium (WBPC) and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Defence are scheduled to appear before the Committee virtually.
The witnesses include Christopher Holt and Simon Randles from the West Bank Protection Consortium and Cait Moran, Director of the Middle East, North Africa Unit and Feilim McLaughlin, Director of Global Programmes, Irish Aid, from the Department of Foreign Affairs.
Committee Cathaoirleach Charlie Flanagan TD said: “The Middle East Peace Process is a matter for priority consideration for the Committee. Members will continue to review the position in the occupied Palestinian territories, in respect of displacements and the demolition of public and private buildings, when it meets with representatives of the West Bank Protection Consortium and the Department of Foreign Affairs tomorrow.
The committee last week hear from The Ambassador, Head of Mission of Palestine, Dr Jilan Abdalmajid, and the Ambassador of Israel to Ireland, H. E. Mr. Ophir Kariv
The meeting convenes at 2.30pm, and proceedings may be watched live
