It's part of Irish Music Month, in association with Hot Press, IBI and BAI.
On The Irish Music Scene tonight, the four finalists have been announced for Kfm's Local Hero Competition.
The finalists are as follows:
Gemma Cox, singer/songwriter from Naas.
Andy Harper, artist from Rathangan.
Padraig Bennett, singer/songwriter from Johnstownbridge.
Sherena Leanna, artist from Kill.
The Local Hero Competition is an initiative that has been organised in association with Hot Press, the IBI and BAI, and will tie in with Irish Music Month in March.
All four artists will now be interviewed and perform on The Irish Music Scene in the next few weeks and an overall winner will be chosen to go on to represent Kildare at a national event.
During the month of March, all Independent stations, including Kfm, will be playing more Irish music than ever before.
