John Farrelly, a Clane resident, is gearing up to run three prestigious marathons across three continents in just 60 days, all in support of charity.
Starting with the Tokyo Marathon on March 3rd, followed by the Boston Marathon on April 15th, and concluding with the London Marathon on April 21st, Farrelly aims to raise €10,000 for various causes, including the Boston Medical Centre and the Epilepsy Society, in honour of his grandson Tadhg who was diagnosed with epilepsy.
Businesses and individuals are encouraged to support his cause, with a quiz night scheduled for February 10th at Millicent Golf Club.
If successful, Farrelly will earn an Abbott 6 Star Medal and a place in the Hall of Fame, marking a remarkable achievement on his 60th birthday.
