30 year old detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
Gardaí have arrested a man in connection with a fatal assault in Newbridge last month.
A 40 year old was discovered with serious injuries outside a residence in the Piercetown area of Newbridge on the morning of Wednesday 8th March.
He was taken to Naas General Hospital in a critical condition, but later died.
Gardaí arrested a 30 year old yesterday.
He is currently detained at a Garda station in Kildare under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
