Gardaí also discovered a vehicle parked across two disabled parking bays
Naas Gardaí recently detected a "number of vehicles" parked in designated disabled parking bays without displaying the required permits.
Fixed Charge Penalty Notices of €150 were issued for all offenders following the incidents.
On social media, Gardaí say they encountered many excuses when asking drivers why they had occupied the disabled bays, such as : “I'm just waiting on my sister in the pub" and “Just waiting to pick some people up".
Gardaí also discovered a vehicle parked across two disabled parking bays.
"Waiting for someone, popping into a pub or picking up passengers does not give you the right to take a space reserved for someone who genuinely needs it," Gardaí wrote in a recent post.
"For someone with reduced mobility, they can be the difference between being able to access a shop or service and being unable to do so.
"A little convenience for you can mean a big inconvenience for someone else. Show some respect. Leave disabled parking bays for those entitled to use them," Gardaí concluded.
