So far this month there have been 8 incidents reported to Gardai.
Meanwhile, Gardaí are investigating two separate incidents of theft from vehicles and criminal damage that occurred on Friday, March 21, 2025, in Leixlip and Maynooth.
Gardai believe the two incidents may be linked and are appealing for public assistance.
Between 10:50 a.m. and 11:20 a.m. on Friday morning, a workman's van was broken into while parked on the ground floor of the multi-storey car park at the Intel facility in Leixlip.
The white Ford Transit van was accessed via the rear door, where suspects used a drill to break the lock and stole a variety of tools.
In the same area, a grey Vauxhall Vivaro van was also targeted.
While no entry was gained, the rear handle was damaged during the attempted break-in, resulting in criminal damage.
Gardaí believe that up to three individuals may have been involved and were traveling in a dark-colored vehicle.
They are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the Intel facility and are asking anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the car park during the time of the incident to contact Leixlip Garda Station at 01 6667800.
Later that day, between 12:00 p.m. and 12:45 p.m., a second theft occurred at Maynooth University.
A white Ford Transit van was broken into via the rear door, and a tool bag was stolen.
Gardaí from Maynooth are also reviewing CCTV footage and believe the incidents may be connected.
They are appealing to students, staff, and the public who may have observed suspicious activity on campus to come forward with any information by contacting Leixlip Garda Station at 01 6667800.
