**Following the discovery of a body in Portlaoise, on Thursday 20th July, 2023 the missing person appeal for Gavin Rowan has been stood down.**
Gardaí are renewing their appeal to the public for assistance in tracing the whereabouts of Gavin Rowan, 40 years, who is reported missing from the Athy area since Monday, the 7th July 2023.
Gavin is described as being 6’ 0” and of a large build. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
Gavin was traveling in a Black VW Passat CC car. Gardaí understand he travelled in this vehicle to Derries Wood in Ballyshaneduff, Co.Laois.
