Gardaí have launched a search operation on open ground in Wicklow, near the border with Kildare.
The location will undergo a thorough forensic and technical examination, including excavation work expected to continue over the coming days.
It follows the arrest of a man in his 50s in relation to the 29-year-old case of Jo Jo Dullard’s disappearance and presumed murder.
This marks the first arrest in the investigation, which was reclassified from a missing persons case to a murder inquiry four years ago.
Leading the operation is the Kildare Division Serious Crime Unit and the Serious Crime Review Team, under the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation, alongside support from the Garda National Technical Bureau and local Divisional Scenes of Crime Unit.

A forensic archaeologist is also present to assist in the examination.

Superintendent, Paul Burke, says specialist crews will carry out a dig on the piece of land.
