A male in his 30s and a female in her late 20s were arrested at the scene, and are currently being detained.
Gardaí from Baltinglass and Bray, supported by the Armed Support Unit (ASU), conducted a search at a residential property near Baltinglass in County Wicklow yesterday.
The Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service (EODS) attended the scene, a cordon was put in place for a period of time, but the area has since been declared safe.
All firearms will be subject to further technical and ballistic analysis.
