A major Gardaí operation has led to the seizure of five motorbikes early this morning.
During the search, five motorbikes were recovered, four of which have been confirmed as stolen in recent months from Kildare, Meath and Dublin.
Gardaí from the Detective Unit attached to Cabra and Blanchardstown Garda Stations conducted a planned search of a property in the Blanchardstown area as part of ongoing investigations into organised crime.
A man in his 40s was arrested in connection with the investigation and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda station in the DMR.
Gardaí are seeking to identify the owner of the fifth motorbike, a red Honda CR Series off-road motorcycle, and confirm its status.
Anyone who believes they are the owner of this vehicle, which may have been stolen in the last several months, is asked to contact Blanchardstown Garda Station.
