Government Graded 'E' For Homelessness And Mental Health

The Children's Rights Alliance has published its annual report.

The Government has been awarded an‘E’ grade by the Children’s Rights Alliance in its annual Report Card for mental health and homelessness.

The lessons that have been learned from the pandemic to help improve the lives of children and young people must be a key focus for Government in 2022.

The call comes from the Children’s Rights Alliance, which published its 2022 Report Card.

Education is one area where it says there has been some progress made and the organisation is welcoming the publication of guidelines, at the end of last year.

The Alliance says that children and young people have been forced to adapt over the past two years and now they're being asked to go back to the way things were before, as homeless numbers are on the rise.

Julie Ahern at the Chilrdens Rights Alliance wants Ireland to be the best place in the world for children.
