A Community Monuments grant scheme has been announced and offers funding for the conservation, maintenance, protection and presentation of archaeological monuments across Kildare.
The Community Monuments Fund has 3 streams:

1: For essential repairs and capital works for the conservation and repair of archaeological monuments

2: For the development of Conservation Management Plans/Reports aimed at identifying measures for the conservation of archaeological monuments and improving public access.

3: For the enhancement of access infrastructure and interpretation (including virtual/online) at archaeological monuments.

Kildare County Council in conjunction with the National Monuments Service and the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage are inviting applications for the Community Monuments Fund 2022.
In 2022 the Community Monuments Fund will invest a total of €5 million in the archaeological heritage to help the owners and custodians of archaeological monuments safeguard them into the future.
