Gunman Steals Cash From Centra In Naas Before Being Tracked Down By Gardai

Based on a description provided by staff, Gardaí intercepted and arrested a man in the area a short time later, recovering both the stolen cash and a replica firearm.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at a shop in Naas.

A man entered the Centra store at Hazelmere shortly before 8 o’clock on Friday evening, December 5th, with what appeared to be a handgun.

A sum of money was taken during the incident.

Based on a description provided by staff, Gardaí intercepted and arrested a man in the area a short time later, recovering both the stolen cash and a replica firearm.

Gardaí have thanked staff and members of the public for their assistance, but continue to appeal to anyone who was in the Hazelmere area at the time to contact Naas Garda Station.
