Heather Humphreys Leads Presidential Poll At 22% As Lucan TD Weighs Maria Steen Support

Kfm understands that Lucan-based Independent TD Paul Gogarty is among those considering supporting Maria Steen's bid to get on the ballot.

Heather Humphreys remains ahead in the race to become President, according to the latest opinion poll.

22 percent of the 1000 respondents polled said they would back the Fine Gael candidate.

Former Dublin manager and Fianna Fáil hopeful Jim Gavin received 18 percent of first preference votes, according to the Business Post/RED C poll.

Independent candidate Catherine Connolly is on 17 percent support.

Meanwhile, conservative activist Maria Steen, who’s seeking the backing of 20 Oireachtas members, is polling at 5 percent.
