High Temperature Warning Issued For Kildare As Temperatures Set To Soar

Kildare is included in a Status Yellow high temperature warning, with temperatures potentially reaching the high 20s this week.

Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow high temperature warning for Kildare and the rest of Leinster, as very warm and humid conditions are forecast over the coming days.

The warning comes into effect at 6am tomorrow (Wednesday) and remains in place until 6am on Friday, with daytime temperatures expected to exceed 27 degrees in some areas and overnight temperatures remaining above 15 degrees.

In Kildare, temperatures are forecast to reach around 26-28 degrees at their highest this week.

Met Éireann says the conditions could lead to uncomfortable sleeping conditions, heat stress, water safety concerns and animal welfare issues.

The warmer spell is expected to ease by Friday, with temperatures returning to the low 20s.
