Netflix will be filming in the town for the next three days
Excitement is building in Rathangan as Netflix has landed in the town to start filming "Walk The Blue Fields" based on the 2007 book by author Claire Keegan.
The movie includes Irish actor Andrew Scott along with English actor Emily Blunt.
The streetscape in Main Street Rathangan has changed with the addition of a cinema, toy shop and cab office.

It has been reported that Netflix approached some of the businesses in the town and offered to re-paint them, along with putting up temporary signage.
The famous Burrow Pub which was visited by US Singer and Songwriter Bruce Springsteen previously has been re-named as "Kavanagh's" for the duration of filming which is expected to last about three days.
The former Hackett's Supermarket will be a cinema and a former take-away will be a toy store.
