The HSE has confirmed that the Day Facility at St. Mary’s, Naas, has temporarily reduced from a five-day service to a two-day service.

It's due to what it says are "ongoing challenges in recruiting nursing staff and maintaining safe staffing levels".
It adds the change is necessary to operate within current staffing and operational parameters, while continuing to provide safe and effective care and that referrals and interventions are being prioritised based on clinical need and assessed risk.
The HSE says all affected service users have been met with individually and informed of the change.
The reduced service is expected to remain in place for approximately 12 weeks and will be kept under ongoing review.
Speaking to Kfm News, a user of the service said they see a mental health doctor twice a year and also have a physical health monitoring once a year.
She described the cut to the health service as "unnecessary", remarking that there was always "plenty of staff" whenever she was there.
She also expressed the difficulty at booking an appointment now that the days have been reduced, also raising concern for some people who used the service on a daily basis.
