Concerns have been raised in relation to timelines with future resurfacing of the road from Kilmeague to the top of the hill of Allen
It comes as recent Uisce Éireann works there have resulted in the road needing to be resurfaced again, after it was resurfaced before hand.
The council have said that it is a matter for Uisce Éireann rather than themselves.
Speaking on Kildare Today Fianna Fail TD Daragh FItzpatrick for Clane-Maynooth MD said that he was worried about the timeline of the resurfacing, as works near completion:
"As part of that contract, Uisce Éireann have to resurface the road and I'm just concerned at the timescale at this stage. I will be using every avenue I can to ensure the road will be reinstated with the surface that was on it before the works."
Cllr Fitzpatrick expressed his frustration about Uisce Éireann, while also joking that he'd get in contact with the Pope quicker:
"I'm not holding my breath, I've had my fill of Uisce Éireann, and to be quite honest I'd rather take that conversation off air because I would be afraid at this stage as to what I'd say about them."
Kfm news has contacted Uisce Éireann for a statement.
