Intel has sold a 49% stake in its 'Fab 34' facility in Leixlip to Apollo Global Management for €10.1bn.
This move is part of Intel's 'Smart Capital' strategy to fund global manufacturing investments.
Intel has invested €17bn in Fab 34 so far, and this sale will help redirect funds to other business areas while continuing the facility's development.
Fab 34, officially opened in October 2023, began construction in 2019 and is Intel's first high-volume manufacturing site for Intel 4 products.
