Construction is expected to take 30 months
€10 million in funding is being progressed for a new endoscopy unit at Naas General Hospital, a development that will significantly improve diagnostic capacity for patients across Kildare and the wider region.
The project will involve moving funding that is currently being spent on outsourcing endoscopy procedures into a capital investment to deliver a permanent endoscopy unit at Naas Hospital.
Construction is expected to take approximately 30 months, with plans to appoint a design team by April 2026 from existing contractors in order to move the project forward as quickly as possible.
