The works are taking place each night from 23:30pm to 05:30am
Irish Rail will continue night-time works on the tracks near Newbridge Train Station each night, until the early hours of Saturday morning.
Some local residents, who live near the track, were furnished with a letter from Irish Rail on Monday, giving notice that the works would be carried out.
The works are described as essential railway maintenance and will be carried out each night this week from 23.30pm to 05.30am, concluding early on Saturday morning.
Irish Rail says that the works can only be carried out at night when trains are not running and that every practical effort will be made to minimise the impact on and disruption to local residents.
