The Council says it is in the hands of the ESB now
Kildare County Council says it’s waiting on ESB networks to connect electric vehicle charging points in the council car park in Maynooth.
Responding to Cllr. Angela Feeney at the recent Clane-Maynooth MD meeting, the Council said the chargers are installed and the paperwork has been submitted to the ESB.
Once the connection is made live, the EV chargers will be activated immediately.
According to the Society of the Irish Motor Industry, there was a 48% increase in the number of electric vehicles registered in Kildare in 2023.
