Two motions on the resource before the next meeting of the Clane Maynooth MD.
There are proposals to tap in to the potential of recreational walking and cycling routes in North Kildare.
Labour Cllr. Angela Feeney wants Kildare County Council to engage "with St Patrick's College Maynooth to consider establishing a Caravan/Camping facility adjoining the Greenway and exploit the tourism potential for this area."
The greenway travels along the Royal Canal, linking Maynooth and Longford town.
While Fiann Fáil Cllr., Darragh Fitzpatrick, wants Kildare County Council to invite Waterways Ireland, the responsible body, to make a presentation to the Clane Maynooth on the greenway, and also on the Barrow Blueway on the Grand Canal.
Both motions will be debated before the June meeting of the MD, on Friday.
