Its annual report details the services and supports the local authority offered during the first 9 months of the pandemic.
Kildare County Council's annual report for 2020 shows it gave out €1 million in grants, last year, assisting 700 firms in the county.
There are around 5,000 rate paying firms in Kildare.
Over 570 businesses brought online with €1.32 million investment in eCommerce funding, 250 businesses attended COVID-19 supports webinar in August 2020 following local lockdown•3,425 businesses completed training programmes to combat COVID-19 business challenges

The report also notes €2.1m in community grants, supporting almost 1,000 different initiatives across the county.
A dedicated Covid 19 Community Call Helpline was established by Kildare County Council to assist older and vulnerable people to receive support during national restrictions on movement. The helpline dealt with 1,494 requests last year.

KCC hosted over 28,000 appointments with members of the public last year, as Covid 19 restrictions limited access to its buildings, and hosted 119 meetings of the full council, Municipal Districts and sub committees.
