Position: Weekend News/Sport Journalist
The News/Sport Role:
- Deliver quality hourly on-air News & Sports Bulletins.
- Generate copy and audio content for on-air and Kfm Social Media
- Regularly updating www.kfmradio.com and Social Media with relevant content
- Liaise with News and Current Affairs Team re: relevant material
- Production support on afternoon Sportsbeat Programme
- Be available for week days holiday/absence cover: desirable, but not essential
Requirements
- Possess excellent News/Sport compilation, scripting and editing skills
- A comprehensive knowledge of current affairs/sport, nationally and Kildare
- Technical proficiency in studio desk operation and in Radiomation, Cool Edit, Adobe etc
- A full driving licence.
This is a key position in the Kfm News Room, requiring passion and commitment to quality News production, focussed on timely delivery of optimum quality content on-air and on-line and requiring the keenest News sense: local, national and international.
