Child is attending Cross and Passion College, Kicullen.
A Kildare parent has questioned additional second level school expenses.
Elaine's child is in 3rd Year at Cross and Passion College, Kicullen.
In an online meeting, costs association with Transition Year were outlined to parents.
These included €80 for a tracksuit, the lack of book rental scheme, the use of workbooks and additional fees TY of €400.
The Dept. of Education, in 2016, introduced a range of guidelines aimed at reducing costs for parents, including diversification of uniform suppliers, a book rental scheme, and phasing out of workbooks which cannot be reused.
Kfm News contacted Cross and Passion, Kicullen, for a statement in advance of the interview, and a statement is awaited.
Elaine, speaking to Kildare Today, says many parents are to the pin of their collar.
Elaine joined Clem Ryan on this morning's edition of Kildare Today.
