The GAA club is celebrating 25 years since its establishment
Kildangan GAA club has appealed to people with photographs or memorabilia relating to the club or community to share them, as the club prepares a book to commemorate 25 years since its establishment.
Speaking on Kildare Today, committee member with Kildangan GAA, Karen Gilroy, appealed to people to come forward with photographs in relation to the club, or of the community in general.
"We looking for any photos over the last 25 years that people have that we can add, and stories and stuff like that."
"We wanted to create a memory for people to go into this book."
She highlighted Friday 24th and Saturday 25th of April as the days where people can come down to the GAA grounds and share their pictures and memorabilia.
From a club that began with only a senior team, Ms Gilroy also spoke about how they have gone "from strength to strength" to a club that now fields teams at underage levels.
Kildangan GAA will celebrate the new book at two key events, on the 5th of September during its Festival of Football, as well as their dinner dance that takes place on the 10th of October in the Keadeen Hotel, Newbridge.
To send photos, or for more information, people are asked to email 'kildangan1925@gmail.com'.
