A license has been agreed for Kildare Camogie to use the McDonagh Sports Field at the Curragh Camp for the 2026/2027 sporting season.

Kildare Camogie has secured the use of the McDonagh Sports Field at the Curragh Camp for the 2026/2027 sporting season.

Minister for Defence Helen McEntee confirmed the arrangement in response to a parliamentary question from Kildare South Labour TD Mark Wall.

Deputy Wall welcomed the news, saying it demonstrates how State-owned facilities can be made available to local sporting organisations.

He says more facilities should be opened up to schools and clubs across County Kildare, with many sporting organisations struggling to secure playing pitches to meet growing demand.
