Hundreds of free play packs have been distributed across Co. Kildare.
1,000 free play packs have been made available to children across Kildare through the county's library network, as part of Kildare County Council's celebration of National Play Day.
A week long festival of play takes place, nationwide, and culminates in today's play day.
KCC says the aim is to promote " play and recreation opportunities for children and young people all over Ireland. "
