Cinema audiences across Kildare will be able to see a wide range of new releases, Irish films and family favourites at reduced prices during National Cinema Weekend in September.
Cinema-goers across Kildare will be able to enjoy films for as little as €4 during this year's National Cinema Weekend.
The nationwide event takes place on Saturday, September 5th and Sunday, September 6th, with participating cinemas across the county offering reduced admission throughout the weekend.
This is the first time the initiative has been extended across two days, following strong demand for previous National Cinema Day events, which attracted more than 200,000 admissions in a single day.
Audiences will be able to choose from new releases, special previews, Irish films, family titles and classic re-releases.
Additional sensory, subtitled and captioned screenings will also be available at selected cinemas.
Among the films due to screen are The Incomer, Bad Apples, The Death of Robin Hood, The Dog Stars, and Coyote vs. Acme.
Several Irish productions will also return to the big screen, including An Cailín Ciúin, Báite, and music documentary Celtic Utopia, while The Young Offenders will receive a special tenth-anniversary re-release.
Tickets go on sale online and at participating box offices from 5pm on Sunday, August 30th, with audiences advised to check local cinema listings for available screenings.
