Kildare County Council Issues Fire Safety Warning.

The Dept. of Agriculture has issued a Condition Orange alert, with high risk of fire.

Kildare County Council is issuing fire safety warnings to farmers, rural dwellers, and anyone using outdoor spaces in the county.

The Dept. of Agriculture has issued a Condition Orange alert for the entire country, which is live until midday on Monday.

KCC says "Residents of Kildare who plan to use our outdoor spaces are asked to be particularly vigilant to prevent the outbreak of fire in our forests, bogs and outdoor areas"

And, the local authority has this message for people living in rural parts of Kildare "Farmers, rural dwellers and countryside users are asked to be particularly vigilant. Any outbreak of fire should be reported to the Fire Service using 999 or 112"
