Gardaí have asked motorists to slow down and stay alert around schools and to follow the directions of school wardens at all times.
They have highlighted the importance of exercising caution as children cross the road, as well as giving cyclists space, and not to double park or stop where parking is prohibited.
Gardaí have also asked for parents to plan safe drop-off and collection points, and never to park illegally or in a way that puts children or other road users at risk.
