Several arrests during operations targeting road racing.

Kildare Gardai are warning so-called "boy racers" that cars are weapons.

Gardai across the county have conducted several operations targeting drivers congregating to race.

Garda Sean O'Mahoney is stationed in Athy and has been speaking to Kildare Today.

He says several arrests have taken place.

He joined Clem Ryan and Eoin Beatty on Monday's edition of the programme, where they also discussed cannabis jellies, Kildare's alcohol by-laws and the renewal of gun licences.
